Captain Disaster the Computer Game is the main home of the Captain Disaster adventure games and related projects by Dave Seaman. The site brings together information on the games themselves, along with screenshots, trailers, walkthroughs, media coverage and occasional side projects. Most of the focus is on comedy adventure gaming, with a mixture of freeware releases, commercial titles and experimental smaller works. No generative AI is used in any of the Captain Disaster games. I do experiment with AI in other contexts, and where I've blogged about these, I clearly indicate this.

More screenshots- REJOICE!

These are all partial screenshots, as we don't want to give TOO much away! :-D  (This is how we've got round the "show some of Act III without spoilers" issue.)

Provisional New Screenshot Pack

It's about time we had a screenshot pack that properly reflects how the game looks now - a lot of things have changed since 2012! We've been improving existing content as well as adding new stuff.

This may not be the final screenshot set, but for now it's a lot more representative of the game.  I will update the main screenshots page when I'm satisfied we have the screenshot pack that we will keep right up to game launch.  (Just a note - none of the screenshots below are from Act III. We may add some before finalising the pack.)

It's electrifying!

Scanning...

Extra-terrestrial shopping

Hmm that ship looks familiar...

Make it so!

I wonder...?

This bouncer is not to be messed with!

Beam me up Scotty!

Screenshot Saturday!

Yes folks we are still here, still working on the game, and it's still going to get finished.  We've been redoing some of the old backgrounds to improve them and make them more consistent in style with the rest of the game.  Also one thing I personally have been terrible at is using different perspectives, but my partner in crime The Bit Priest has countered this deficiency and made some excellent suggestions, one of which you can see in the second background.

These backgrounds are not necessarily final, but they give you a good indication of the way the game's graphical style is coming along.

A sneak peek at something you can't see!

You'd like to know what that is, wouldn't you?  Well, I'm not going to tell you.  But what I will say is that it's part of the design for a surprise somewhere near the end of the game, that I think you're going to like, and be surprised by, because it's a surprise, and it's still a surprise because I'm refusing to tell you what it is.  So there you have it.
