Captain Disaster the Computer Game is the main home of the Captain Disaster adventure games and related projects by Dave Seaman. The site brings together information on the games themselves, along with screenshots, trailers, walkthroughs, media coverage and occasional side projects. Most of the focus is on comedy adventure gaming, with a mixture of freeware releases, commercial titles and experimental smaller works. No generative AI is used in any of the Captain Disaster games. I do experiment with AI in other contexts, and where I've blogged about these, I clearly indicate this.

Captain Disaster in "The Dark Side of the Moon" featured on AdventureGamers.com

Pretty nice little review in the "Following Freeware" feature for August...

"Captain Disaster holds little pretence about the kind of game it aims to be, mirroring its gameplay closely to classic Sierra and LucasArts adventures. This means that you'll follow the simple formula of picking up items, combining them and using them with other things whenever appropriate. It also means that the game provides a healthy dose of light-hearted humour throughout. Puzzle solutions are rarely arbitrary and solving them remains fair, despite some pixel hunting later on. Overall, this proves to be a rather basic game, but the dialogue and constant quips about its inspirations ensure a certain charm.
