Captain Disaster the Computer Game is the main home of the Captain Disaster adventure games and related projects by Dave Seaman. The site brings together information on the games themselves, along with screenshots, trailers, walkthroughs, media coverage and occasional side projects. Most of the focus is on comedy adventure gaming, with a mixture of freeware releases, commercial titles and experimental smaller works. No generative AI is used in any of the Captain Disaster games. I do experiment with AI in other contexts, and where I've blogged about these, I clearly indicate this.

Browser-based Fractal Explorer (made with AI)

I decided to try creating something with Gemini instead of ChatGPT and have to say, this is pretty impressive as the result of a handful of prompts! I often got an error message in Gemini, but then it completed everything correctly anyway.

Although let's see how well it works within a Blogger post..

I've always been fascinated by fractals, but never really understood the maths of it well enough to code a generator myself. I added the colour-cycling because of my memories being used of the effect on the 16-bit computers (Neochrome's waterfall is probably the best-known example from the Atari SI).
